The process of buying a house is complicated, but with a good realtor the experience can be much easier. Laurie made my purchase much easier than I expected. When I had questions or concerns Laurie proved to be a real professional. She showed me houses that not only fit my price range but also fit into my list of requirements. The negotiation process proved to be complex in my case, but Laurie always had good advice. I picked up the keys to my dream house this afternoon and I couldn't be happier.rmiller1430

A WINDING TRAIL LED TO THE BEACH. Born in Washington and raised in Hood River, Oregon, I played very often with my family at the beach, camping, fishing, clamming, crabbing, biking, swimming, surfing, shopping, you name it. First and officially a Duck, Class of ’75, I’m really a “platypus”, in a family divided among Beavers, Wildcats, Pioneers, Vikings and all the high school teams about.
My wife Laura and I bought our first vacation home, a tiny, 240 sq. ft. creek front cabin near Mt. Hood, during our 20 years in the Lincoln City area. Then we built our dream log “cabin” above Rhododendron and moved the kids to the mountain, teaching skiing at Timberline Lodge and corralling children alternately on the slopes and at the beach.
We jumped at the chance to move our empty nest to the Central Oregon Coast in 2005 when Laura was offered her dream job here! We landed on the beach with our small flock of Shetland sheep, an alpaca, three dogs and a cat, and found our perfect little farm! Now we enjoy training and running in obedience, agility and fly ball competitions with our sport puppies Baxter, Cooper and Wally [retired], volunteering for community events and organizations, skiing at Hoodoo, and, of course, fishing, clamming, crabbing, beachcombing…you name it all over again! Oh, and my official name tag at “the oldest and largest sheep and fiber show west of the Mississippi”, (think knitting and spinning), reads “Coordinator Laura’s Chief Lackey”!
MY EXPERIENCE BENEFITS MY CLIENTS. During 18 years as a Contractor, I gained broad knowledge and experience in the many aspects of home and commercial construction and remodeling. For the next 15 years I enjoyed exercising creative, technical and sales skills in the marketing and advertising sectors. I’ve also served as a Founding Board Member and V.P. for the Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association and as a Founding Board Member and President of a local Rotary Club.
